Daniel Donici
Founder of Artesana
As an employee, what Daniel enjoyed most was resigning. He graduated at the top of his class from the first university program in Romania specialized in entrepreneurship; the moment he saw the admissions brochure, he knew he wanted to be an entrepreneur.
He began building Artesana in 2007, starting with import-export operations involving Spain and by submitting a project for European Union funding. Concurrently, he worked in financial consulting, accounting, and taxation, and served as a volunteer for Junior Chamber International (JCI), an organization for young people.
It took him four years to secure his first round of funding, one year for construction, and another two years to enter the market. After seven years of operation, he took the business to the next level by bringing the investment platform ROCA on board as a shareholder; together, they are now preparing to implement a €5 million investment project.
