Roxana Cionca
Entrepreneur and co-founder of Chantia
Roxana Cionca is an entrepreneur, chocolatier, and gelato artisan who turned her passion into a thriving business. Born in Lovrin, a small village near Timișoara, she fell in love with chocolate as a child when her father brought home a refined chocolate bar with grapes – a small ritual that sparked a lifelong passion.
Although she initially pursued Medicine, Roxana soon realized her true calling lay elsewhere. Together with her husband, she embraced entrepreneurship, determined to bring high-quality artisanal chocolate to Romania. After years of experience in the industry, they launched Chantia in 2021, crafting premium pralines, chocolate bars, and gelato in their workshop in Timisoara.
In 2023, she took on a new challenge by competing in MasterChef Romania, proving that creativity, resilience, and embracing failure are key to growth. Today, with five locations in Timisoara and Oradea, Roxana continues to redefine artisanal sweets in Romania, blending tradition with innovation.
