Adrian Teleșpan
Writer
Adrian Teleșpan is a Romanian writer, born in 1979 with a gift for failure from the very beginning as the doctors gave him a chance of survival not longer than 48 hours after his birth. But his purpose in life, yet not very clear, kept him alive and here he is, 45 years later, still just as stubborn as he was at birth, and trying to accept that, at least for him, only women can be just as inspiring as failure itself. As a significant part of his endeavours to reach the highest peaks of defeats, Adrian has a master’s degree in frustration and a two doctoral degrees, both in conscious and involuntary mistakes. Rumor has it that if mistakes were a river, Adrian would be the source of them all as the Universe didn’t consider, nor create a better context for him to turn from a victim into something else, still unclear what, but hopefully better, kinder, lighter, milder.
Adrian enjoys his time with his friends and would describe himself as quite a lazy person, and uses this as an excuse for writing only two novels and a few short stories in almost 12 years. Cimitirul (Graveyard), the first one, was published in 2013 and became a public’s favourite. Autonomie Pe (Autonomy CH), his second one, was published at the end of 2024 and he felt the urge to write it right after the death of his dog, The Amazing Geta. Adrian felt ashamed that his dog would watch him from Heaven and would see him not writing. Although he likes food a lot, if he was to give up all his senses but one, Adrian would keep his hearing as music is the best parent he ever found on Earth. God is the other one. The last but not the least, Adrian has now an amazing new dog, a very distinguished gentleman called Amigo with whom he likes to talk about whatever.
